Skiers and boarders can get a little bit nervous about travelling towards the end of the season, but we know it can be a great time for a fun family holiday in the mountains.
Whilst conditions are highly unlikely to rival mid-February, you can still get some great skiing at prices well below other school holiday periods. Not only are holiday prices lower but there are also attractive lift pass offers.
Snow cover is, as ever, impossible to predict. You can expect slushy conditions in the afternoon (particularly if the sun is out) and most skiers tend to start the day promptly and view anything after lunch as a bit of a bonus.
If conditions are not as good as we hope don't forget the Ski Famille snow guarantee in place in Les Gets. We don't have a similar guarantee in place in Reberty Village as our chalets sit at 2000m, just 300m below Val Thorens which stays open into May.
Temperatures during the day can get into the low teens and with the sun shining the mountain restaurant terraces can look more like those of cafes in the Med; lots of people taking their time and soaking up the rays. Don't rule out fresh snow though, we've seen plenty of fabulous snowfalls in April which result in superb conditions on and off piste.
We have put together some great deals for 10th April to help families enjoy the snow, sun and mountain air. Don't hesitate to call us on 01252 519 239 if you have any queries.
