Reading the travel press one gets the impression that late booking is the way the holiday industry works these days. That certainly hasn't been our experience. We saw the number of guests booking for the current (2012) season before the end of August increase by over 25% on the previous year.

In practice this means that the most sought after resorts, chalets and dates book much earlier than they used to. There are still some late deals to be had (our current ones can be seen here), but if you know what you would like to book for your 2013 family ski holiday it's best not to hang about.
