Ski Famille was started in 1990 by two families who were keen to introduce their young children to the mountains they loved, whilst still enjoying their own skiing time and the occasional lengthy lunch. Our mix of well located chalets, inclusive childcare and attentive staff continues to achieve this aim
Ski Famille is a privately owned family ski specialist dedicated to providing high quality holidays that enable skiing families to get the most from their time together in the Alps.
Chris Thompson - Managing Director
Chris has always worked in the travel industry and first joined the Ski Famille team in 1995 ... to go away and return in 2003. You can read more here.
Ski plans for this winter include a family trip to one of our new Les Gets chalets and his first ever visit to the Pyrenees.
Sheila Standen - General Manager
Sheila joined Ski Famille when the office moved to Hampshire in 2007. She worked for Salomon for many years and has also run her own children's activity business.
Sheila has a twelve year old daughter who is on her local dry slope ski team and looks set to put Mum and Dad's skills to shame over the coming years.
Kirsty McDougall - Operations Manager
Kirsty joined the UK office team in Spring 2010 having headed up our operations in Reberty Village in 2009/10. She has also worked for Ski Famille in Les Gets as well as spending a period running one of our key transport suppliers.
When not focussed on our guests and resort teams Kirsty does silly things like cycle the length of France for a "holiday".
Julie Ryder - Recruitment Co-ordinator & Administration Assistant
Before joining our team Jules was an engineer in the water industry. Prior to that she was a chalet girl for a number of seasons and also ran the British Alpine Ski School's Avoriaz office.
Jules's two young children are already accomplished skiers - helped more than a little by having a ski instructor father!
Angela Harrison - Reservations Assistant
Angela joined the Ski Famille team in 2010 after a few years away from work focussing on her two children. All the family are keen skiers.
Joe Dixon - Resort Manager - Reberty
Joe is an experienced seasonal manager, having managed various resorts in France. This autumn Joe has been busy in the Alps doing DIY and maintenance on a number of properties. After the winter Joe is going off to study Music.
Joanna Hardwick - Resort Manager - Les Gets
Jo has previous experience of managing a diverse team in a ski resort. This summer she has been co-managing a busy hotel/bar- restaurant in the Surrey Hills. Jo has also worked extensively in the child care sector.
Shane Chander - Childcare Manager - Les Gets
Shane is a qualified teacher with a diverse career covering sports coaching and activity leadership. Shane led our childcare team in Les Gets last season and it's great to have him back.
Tom Richens - Chalet Manager - Les Gets
Tom is a graduate in International Hospitality Management and has managed many high profile/VIP events in London. He spent a year in Canada running a campervan rental firm and has worked in Les Gets before. He also has experience of working in childcare settings.
