Ehrwald (Austria)

Ehrwald is one of six small family friendly resorts (the others are Lermoos, Berwang, Bichlbach, Biberweir & Heiterwang) making up the Zugspitz Arena ski area. It is an area focused on families and has spectacular scenery. The emphasis is on fun and relaxation as much as it is on skiing.

The ski area may seem limited for anyone familiar with large French domains although the “Top Snow” pass does give skiers access to the Garmisch ski area over the German border (increasing the potential ski area to 215km). In addition this season sees some significant investment in new lifts, inclusing a six man chair starting from close to the Hotel Tirolerhof.
