Les Gets mountain restaurants

La Croix Blanche - Chavannes - 04 50 75 80 66

There are a lot of places to eat in the Chavannes area of Les Gets but Croix Blanche (at the top of the 'Red Egg' telecabine) is the pick of the lot. On a sunny day a salad the size of your head on their terrace is sheer joy!

La Grande Ourse - Mont Chery - 06 79 42 58 86

On the slopes of Mont Chery the Grande Ourse must have one of the most spectacular views of the Alps. Not cheap but rarely crowded and the food and service are of a very high standard.

Just off the blue run leading down to our Mouflon chalets the Paika is well worth seeking out. A homely retreat for a long lunch on a cold day or a super spot for a drink on the terrace,

Le Vaffieu - Pleney - 04 50 79 09 43

On the Pleney ridge between Les Gets and Morzine this is a popular spot where you need to book (it is walkable from the Pleney telecabine). Traditional Savoie food and great service.

Rossetaz - La Rosta

It's easy to ski pass Rossetaz without spotting it as somewhere special - big mistake! On the menu are salads, pizzas and burgers and most are in portions that can easily be shared between two. If you go there early on in a holiday we guarantee you'll return before the week is out.

Picture a rustic mountain shack with hearty (mainly meaty) food and you have a vision of Chez Nannon. Busy whatever the weather it has very limited space inside so it's worth booking on a cold snowy day.
