Will there be snow? - Les Gets and Morzine seem a bit low.

We are often asked this question by new clients and it’s fair to say that Les Gets and Morzine are fairly low resorts. However, the Haute Savoie resorts positioned between Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva have generally enjoyed far better conditions than resorts elsewhere sitting at similar altitudes.

There are other advantages too. The grass based pistes of Les Gets and Morzine offer great skiing with much less snow than higher resorts with rock based slopes. Lift closures due to high winds and miserable days in “white-out” conditions are also very rare on our tree lined slopes.

There have been many occasions over the last few years when operations in higher resorts have ground to a halt when our resorts are still offering excellent snow and enjoyable skiing for guests of all abilities.

If the local slopes in Les Gets and Morzine experience rare closures we can easily transport guests to Avoriaz where the skiing starts at 1800m and goes up to over 2400m. The journey by minibus takes just 20 minutes.
