When faced with the concept of booking a family holiday with childcare it can be difficult to know how to strike a balance between creating unforgettable memories with the children, and heading off for some quality adult-only time. We all want time alone, but none of us want to simply “dump” the children in a kids club.

Ski Famille’s unique A La Carte childcare is designed to help you find the right mix. By providing you with four flexible childcare options you can simply pick and choose what’s right for you, tailoring your children’s childcare to suit your needs. Our private nannies and childcare staff are on hand from 9am-5pm to entertain your children and give you the chance to both hit the slopes and enjoy some much needed rest and relaxation – and you can utilise this as much or as little as you wish.

Mini Marmots

For our youngest guests we offer Mini Marmots childcare. Suitable for children from the age of 4 months to 4 years, this all day childcare runs from 9am – 5pm, 6 days a week. This option is great for children who are too young to ski, and instead offers safe, stimulating fun in and around the chalet you are staying in.

Booking this option means you have cover all week, however feel free to come back and take your little one out whenever you like. Just because they are too young for ski lessons doesn’t mean they need to miss out – how about renting some skis for an afternoon and take them for their first few turns, or head out for an afternoon of tobogganing together?

Mountain Marmots

Mountain Marmots are our group morning ski lessons for children aged 3 – 12 years. Running from 9am – 12:30pm 6 days a week this option also includes your children being picked up from your chalet and then brought back again at the end of the lesson. Head straight off after breakfast and enjoy a full morning on the slopes before reuniting for lunch and spending the remainder of the day en-famille. There are lots of fantastic family friendly restaurants across all our resorts offering great children’s menus. Some of our favourites include the Croix Blanche in Les Gets, Le Loup Blanc in La Plagne and La Ferme in Reberty 2000.

Supervised Lunch

Want to enjoy a child-free lunch on a sunny mountain terrace, or ski that little bit further afield? Extend your morning childcare with our popular Supervised Lunch option. Lengthen your childcare provisions until 2pm and our team will provide your little ones with a nutritious lunch upon their return from ski school. Come and collect them at 2pm, before heading off to ski together as a family in the afternoon. Make sure you also check out what other activities your resort has to offer by reading through our apres-ski pages for La Plagne, Les Gets and Les Menuires – you’ll find lots of family friendly activities to try.

Monty’s Afternoon Club

If you want all-day care for your children, simply select our Monty’s Afternoon Club childcare option in addition to Mountain Marmots. Inclusive of Supervised Lunch, our afternoon club includes plenty of outdoor play and ski activities, including treasure hunts, tobogganing, arts and crafts and much, much more. Return to your chalet at 5pm to swap stories about your day before children’s tea time at 5:30pm.

As with our Mini Marmots, feel free to come and take your children out during the week if you want to spend a couple of afternoons exploring the resort together. Simply let our childcarers know if you plan to collect them early.
