Tignes is a high-altitude ski resort in the French Alps, renowned for its reliable snow and long ski season. This world-class resort is beloved by families year after year.
Located at 2,100 m, Tignes is a snow-sure destination offering one of the largest ski areas in the world, sharing its 300 km of slopes with Val d’Isère. It is situated at the upper end of the Tarentaise Valley, and lies at the foot of the Pointe du Monet and the Grand Motte.
Tignes is a lively and welcoming resort, offering varied terrain and plenty of activities for all ages, making it perfect for families. Older children can enjoy ice skating and all the fun facilities at the sports centre, while little ones learn their first turns or can be entertained with our Mini Marmots programme, when in-chalet childcare is added on to your holiday!

Our chalets in Tignes 1850 are ideally located for easy lift access and family convenience. Chalet Corniche is just 150 m from the Tovière gondola and a short walk from family-friendly restaurants, shops, and après-ski spots. After a day on the slopes, you can relax together in the hot tub, sauna, or steam room!
Chalet Hotel Les Mélézes is tucked away in a quiet corner of Tignes, offering stunning mountain views and a ski-in, ski-out location that’s perfect for families. Its peaceful setting makes it a great base for fun days on the slopes while still being close to everything you need.
