Our childcare team is truly at the heart of Ski Famille. They’re the warm, friendly faces that bring kindness, fun, and enthusiasm into every chalet, creating a welcoming environment where children feel safe, happy, and excited. From playful activities to caring support, our team goes above and beyond to make sure your little ones have the best possible holiday experience.
Their passion for what they do helps turn your time in the Alps into something unforgettable – where laughter, adventure, and family memories come together to make your ski holiday truly special.
In every resort, and in our chalet hotel, you’ll find a dedicated team of qualified childcare professionals. Each of these team members holds a Level 3 qualification in EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage), or is a fully qualified teacher or nurse. They are also paediatric first-aid trained and complete our comprehensive, compulsory training at the start of the season, covering essential topics such as safe sleep, safeguarding, and early years care.
Their primary focus is caring for our youngest guests in Mini Marmots, creating a warm, engaging environment filled with sensory activities, nursery rhymes, and story time. Most importantly, they ensure your little one is safe, happy, and well cared for, even when it’s time to venture out into the snow.
But their role doesn’t end there! You’ll also see them leading the ski school line or joining in the fun at Monty’s Afternoon Club, sometimes even racing around the ice rink!
Working hand-in-hand with our qualified childcarers is the rest of our incredible childcare team. They’re bursting with experience, imagination, and boundless energy! Like our qualified team, they are paediatric first-aid trained and complete our full childcare training programme, including safeguarding and early years modules, so they’re the perfect partners when our chalets are full of little ones.
Most of the time, you’ll find them surrounded by their entourage of Mountain Marmots, excited and ready for ski school before heading back to the chalet for an afternoon packed with arts and crafts, talent shows, and games. And when they take charge at Monty’s Afternoon Club, anything can happen! From mountain adventures and sledging to ice skating or swimming, the fun never stops.
Monty is fun and friendly, and he loves nothing more than skiing with his friends!
Monty joins us this season to ensure children (and adults) of all ages enjoy the mountain environment and take part in lots of fun packed activities throughout their stay. He can sometimes be found playing in the resort when you arrive, or causing mischief in the chalet whilst you’re out skiing!
Monty is often everyone’s favourite member of the childcare team, as his fun and silly personality makes everyone laugh and smile! He is so impressed with how brilliant the children are at skiing and loves to see families return to the chalets every year! There are some children he met for the first time in Mini Marmots who are now skiing black runs!
