Les Bruyères is a quiet, family-focused village with gentle slopes that are perfect for beginners and little ones learning to ski. Its slower pace and welcoming atmosphere make it a favourite for families who want a relaxed holiday, where children can play freely in a safe environment. Reberty 2000 is equally family-friendly, offering ski-in, ski-out chalets that make it easy to get children on and off the slopes quickly. Its smaller size ensures a calm, manageable environment, ideal for first-timers.
La Plagne is perfect for families looking for variety. Its wide, gentle runs are ideal for beginners and intermediates, while snowparks and play areas keep older children entertained. Parents can enjoy longer ski runs while staying close enough to keep an eye on the little ones.
Val d’Isère offers a mix of challenging terrain and a charming alpine village atmosphere, making it ideal for families with varied skiing abilities. Meanwhile, Tignes is a snow-sure resort with extensive ski areas suitable for all levels, alongside plenty of indoor activities for non-skiers, from swimming pools to ice skating rinks. Even when booking at short notice, families can enjoy excellent snow, safe slopes, and unforgettable mountain memories!
Your Ski Famille holiday is designed to be easy, comfortable and family-friendly, even when booked at short notice. One of the many reasons families love Ski Famille holidays is our exceptional childcare team. For added peace of mind, we offer in-chalet childcare at an additional cost, allowing you to relax and enjoy your time on the slopes while your little ones are cared for in a familiar, home-from-home setting. Our exclusive clubs, run by our fully trained childcare team alongside Monty the mascot, include Mini Marmots and Monty’s Afternoon Club, catering for children aged from just 4 months up to 12 years old. It’s all part of making your family ski holiday as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.
Booking a last minute ski deal doesn’t need to be stressful. Focus on the essentials that will keep the whole family warm and comfortable! Start by packing your base layers, thermal tops and leggings to keep cosy, and add fleeces or lightweight jumpers as mid-layers for extra warmth. For outerwear waterproof jackets and ski trousers are an essential, along with gloves, warm hats, neck gaiters, ski socks, and goggles. TOP TIP – A small day backpack is handy for carrying snacks, water bottles, or extra layers while on the slopes!
For the chalet, bring cosy indoor footwear such as slippers or crocs, and comfortable clothing for relaxing after skiing. If your chalet has a hot tub, don’t forget your swimwear! Families may also want to pack simple entertainment for children, like colouring books or small games, to enjoy quiet moments in the evenings. Having a few snacks and treats to hand keeps little ones happy between meals, and a basic first aid kit with any necessary medicines is always useful. Ski Famille can organise everything ahead of your arrival, such as lift passes, ski equipment and lessons, so your family can hit the slopes straight away.
