Les Menuires and it’s attractive satellite resorts are known for their stunning views, picturesque scenery and fantastic skiing and snowboarding within the three valleys area. Aside from this, they have plenty of après ski entertainment and great restaurants to discover.
There are plenty of shops in Les Menuires to browse around and a weekly market selling lots of local produce and curiosities.
La Ferme: (Reberty 2000) one of our personal favourites, serving delicious traditional french food and always has a warm atmosphere. As one of our guests eloquently puts it:
“La Ferme ticks all of the boxes and is about 50m from Ski Famille’s chalets. Quick après drink before relieving the nannies?….Yes please! Piste – side lunch or coffee?….Job done! Fantastic “evening off” food?…better book now!”

Hotel Le Kaya: (Reberty 2000) With 360 degree views of the largest ski area in the world and the fine cooking style of chef Stephan Demichelis, Hotel Le Kaya certainly is a very special spot to stop for lunch or a more formal evening out.

Les Marmottes: (Les Bruyeres) Excellent food in traditional Savoyard surroundings with friendly English speaking staff. A great place for lunch or dinner, or even just an apres ski drink. Fantastic mix of classic mountain dishes, along with streaks, pizzas and burgers.
Le Vieux Greniers: (Les Bruyeres) A stylish restaurant located opposite the tourist information center. Good service with friendly staff. They also do a fantastic Raclette.
La Chouette: (Les Bruyeres) Extensive menu with great service. Great value food and caters well for children, Also has an adjoining Creperie serving, in our opinion, some of the best Crepes in Les Menuires.
One of our top recommendations – A fantastic, high speed toboggan run on rails is the perfect winter family activity. You each settle in to an individual sleigh and then enjoy the ride as the track twists and turns and takes you through some wonderful scenery. Go as fast as you want as you race against Boukty, the resorts very own mascot, to try and beat his time. Just make sure you hold on tight as you are taken around a series of bends, drops, twists and turns! Children aged 5 and over can go on the speed mountain as long at they are accompanied by an adult.
Dog sledding is an activity that the whole family can enjoy. Take in the beautiful scenery as you get pulled through snowy forests and alongside beautiful rivers by Dany’s trusty team of huskies.
Dog sledding is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 10am – 4.30pm.
Roc’n Bob and Roc’n bike are fun for adults and children alike. Roc’n Bob is a fantastic tobogganing experience which will see you and your family navigating your way around a series of fun, challenging bends. Take to the Roc rapids or the Never ending Canyon and enjoy the ride. Or, for something different, trying Roc’n bike mountain biking in the snow! This is a unique experience which is available for everyone to enjoy, so why not give it a go.
Roc’n bike is open every weekday and Roc’ Bob is open weekdays and Sunday 2pm – 6.45pm.
One for the older kids now, as those thrill seekers can take to the snow on a skidoo! The perfect activity for after a long day out on the slopes, zoom along stunning country trails as these powerful machines make light work of powdered snow.
Skidoos excursions are open from 5.45pm – 9pm.
For a truly memorable experience, get away from it all by taking a breathtaking Paragliding trip. You can enjoy the thrill of being up in the sky while also enjoying some of the most incredible views the surrounding landscape has to offer. Tandem flights are available for both children and adults and at an extra cost your pilot can video your whole experience.
Paragliding is open between 9am – Noon and 2pm – 6pm.
After dusk settles in, why not take your children on the magical adventure that is children’s night sledging. This is an après ski activity they will love and a real must do for families with young kids.
Open every Wednesday from 5pm – 7pm – this coincides with the chalet day off.
The Ice castle is an extremely popular activity for children. You can find the Ice Castle in nearby La Croisette where children can be left to explore the ice structure, socialise and toboggan on their little shovel sledges. This is a free activity that all kids can enjoy – our in-chalet childcare nannies also take the kids here during the week.
